The Last Days of Henry VIII
In January 1547 the great killer, Henry VIII lay dying in his secret
apartments at Westminster. In the corridors beyond his councillors and
cronies plotted their next move. The Earl of Surrey had gone to the
block, his father John Duke of Norfolk was also in the tower marked
down for execution. Henry abruptly died. No one was allowed near him
except his confessor Crammer. Was Henry VIII helped into the next world?
What were the politics surrounding his death?
What happened to his tomb?
And, above all, what happened to his corpse?
